Erik Compton gained national attention last year when he finished tied second at the 2014 US Open at the restored Pinehurst No.2. Although Erik started to gain recognition, he has actually been a professional golfer for quite some time but his journey was not an easy road.
Diagnosed with viral cardiomyopathy at the age of 9, Erik’s road to the PGA Tour had many obstacles, which included recovering from two heart transplants.
