Graeme McDowell is not only a professional golfer, but he is also a businessman. Aside from playing professionally on the PGA Tour, McDowell owns Nona Blue Tavern, a restaurant/bar in Lake Nona, Orlando, has his own line of beer (GMAC’s Celtic Style Pale Ale), his own line of clothing in GMAC By Kartel and was one of the early supporters of the GAME GOLF technology.
For 2015, Graeme and ECCO Golf announces a signature shoe based on his own personal taste in fashion and golf. The Graeme McDowell World Class golf shoe is inspired by the heritage of the game and made of full-grain leather with a throwback surprise – metal spikes (although soft spikes are also provided). With the metal spikes, it provides Graeme with the greatest possible support during his golf swing as he has a lively foot motion. The shoe also provides the comfort and stability that you expect from an ECCO Golf shoe.
Graeme will debut his signature shoe next week at the European Tour’s Omega Dubai Desert Classic. However, this shoe will be limited to 280 pairs only worldwide. This number represents his winning score at the 2010 US Open Championship at Pebble Beach. The Graeme McDowell World Class will become available to the public during the week of the 2015 US Open at Chambers Bay, June 15 – 21, 2015 for a cost of $500.
