Earlier in the 2014-2015 PGA Tour season, Canadian Nick Taylor broke through for his first victory when he won the Sanderson Farms Championship! It was the first PGA Tour victory for Nick and the first for a Canadian-born player in seven years, earning him a two-year exemption on Tour, a very rewarding result given his journey to the PGA Tour!
After an outstanding college career at the University of Washington, Nick’s success did not translate to the professional ranks and his path took him to the PGA Canada Tour and the Web.com Tour. However, Nick’s perseverance and work ethic paid off when he shot a final-round 7-under 63 at the Web.com Tour Championship at TPC Sawgrass to earn his PGA Tour card.
As a Canadian and a local boy from our home province of British Columbia, there’s a huge sense of pride seeing Nick achieve success on the PGA Tour. This was on full display recently as Nick and his wife Andie made their media tour in Vancouver! Below is a feature from Inside the PGA Tour, giving us a sneak peek behind Nick’s busy day in Canada.
