European Tour’s first tournament in 2015 was played last week in the City of Ekurhuleni as Englishman Andy Sullivan took home the victory at the 104th South African Open Championship! The South African Open Championship is the second oldest open championship in the world, with its inaugural touranment being played in 1903. Since then, many South Africans have won this tournament, including the Big Easy Ernie Els, who has won this tournament five times!
Ernie Els is one of the most famous South African golfers on Tour and in the 104th South African Open this year, Ernie was named as the tournament’s Host and Ambassador. It is fitting that this tournament will also benefit Ernie’s charities, Els for Autism and the Ernie Els & Fancourt Foundation.
