The second tournament of 2015 on the European Tour is set to begin this week at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship. There are always great pre-tournament events and festivities on the European Tour and this week is no exception. Four of the world’s top 10 players squeezed in some last minute short game practice in a unique “pitch and paddle” challenge on Yas Island!
Watch Rory McIlroy and Rickie Fowler team up against Henrik Stenson and Justin Rose as they fire biodegradable “fish food” golf balls from a jetty against a backdrop of mangroves between the ninth and 18th holes of the Yas Links Abu Dhabi. This competition saw the two teams race to be the first to hit two floating targets attached to kayaks, steered by their own caddies! Take a look!
