A day after we saw the conclusion of the first event in 2015 for the European Tour, the first tournament in 2015 on the PGA Tour wrapped up in dramatic fashion. Playing with the backdrop of beautiful Maui at the Kapalua Golf Resort, Patrick Reed was four shots off the lead with four holes to go. But after an eagle and two birdies, Patrick found himself tied on top of the leaderboard at 21-under with Jimmy Walker!
Although Jimmy Walker had a birdie putt to win on the final hole, his putt came up short and this would prove to be costly as he would eventually lose to Patrick Reed on the first playoff hole. This was Patrick’s first victory since the WGC-Cadillac Championship at Trump National Doral, where he declared himself one of the top five players in the world. With more victories like this, we are sure Patrick will be on his way!
