Brooke Henderson is the number one ranked female amateur golfer in the world who earned low-amateur honours in the 2014 US Women’s Open. As a native of Smiths Falls, Ontario, Canada, Brooke is a fan of the Ottawa Senators and today, she teamed up with defenseman Mark Borowiecki to make a special announcement!
Being Canadian, it is no surprise that Brooke plays a bit of hockey. Taking advantage of her skills on the ice, Brooke and the Ottawa Senators produced a fun video to announce her decision to turn professional and compete on the LPGA Tour in 2015! The video is certainly reminiscent of Lydia Ko, who also took an unique approach to announce her decision to turn professional. At just 17 years old, Brooke’s list of accomplishment in her golf career is long and we look forward to seeing her add to the list in her professional career. Congratulations, Brooke!
