Last year, Rory McIlroy won the Australian Open and prevented Adam Scott from completing the Australian Triple Crown. It may be argued that victory was the turning point for the number 1 player in the world, propelling Rory’s game en-route to a season with two Major Championships, the Open and the PGA Championship, and a WGC event!
Although Rory was unable to defend his title at the Australian Open a few weeks back, the one year mark of his “turning point” was a good opportunity for Golfing World to reflect on that victory one year ago.
