Many of us in North America were probably not watching golf on Saturday night but on the other side of the world, some superb golf was being played at the 2014 Australian PGA Championship! At the start of the final round, Greg Chalmers was 7 strokes off the lead but after a round of 8-under 64, Greg found himself in a playoff with Adam Scott and Wade Ormsby.
Although Adam Scott was not in contention for the Australian Triple Crown like he was last year, he had multiple chances to win the Australian PGA Championship but failed to convert his opportunities. After seven exhilarating playoff holes, it was 41 year old Greg Chalmers who came out on top after Adam missed a 4-foot putt for par, ending the longest top-tier tournament in Australia.
