In 2013, Adam Scott won his first ever Major Championship at The Masters, becoming the first Australian to win the Green Jacket. He followed that up with a win at The Barclays during the FedEx Cup playoffs and nearly completed the Aussie Triple Crown by winning the Australian Masters, Australian PGA Championship, while just being edged out at the Australian Open by Rory McIlroy.
He continued his strong play into the 2014 PGA TOUR season, finishing in the Top-15 at all four Major Championships, winning the Crowne Plaza Invitational and becoming World Number 1. Although he had a very solid year, Adam admits it could have been better and felt there was just a little bit missing in his game. He, as well as the rest of the golfing world, also ran into a red hot Rory McIlroy who had a tremendous summer winning The Open Championship, the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational and the PGA Championship.
Life has been busy off the course for Adam as well, as he married his longtime girlfriend in the Bahamas and is now also expecting his first child in several weeks! In the video above, Golfing World joins Adam Scott as he chats about the year he’s had in 2014 and his goals for the 2015 season, particularly his aim of keeping up with and catching up to Rory McIlroy. Take a look!
