The biggest news in the golfing world this week is the return of Tiger Woods to competitive golf at the 2014 Hero World Challenge at Isleworth Golf and Country Club. It’s the first time Tiger will tee it up in competition since he missed the cut at the PGA Championship at Valhalla Golf Club. Since then, he has taken time off to properly heal and rehabilitate his back, which he had a microdiscectomy on earlier in the year.
It’s not just the return of Tiger Woods to competition though – it’s the return of Tiger with his new swing consultant, Chris Como. After going through old footage of his swing as a junior and amateur with Chris, Tiger decided it was time to go full circle with his golf swing and start doing some of the things that made him unbeatable again. In other words, his golf swing for the upcoming PGA TOUR season is “old, but new.” Take a look at his driving range session above as well as a comparison video of his swing in 2013 from The Players Championship and the Arnold Palmer Invitational to this week.
