Tiger Woods: Back To Basics

Tiger Woods had one of the worse years as a professional in the 2014 season. He came off of a 2013 season which saw him win five times in 18 starts including 8 top-5’s, 10 top-20’s and only 3 missed cuts/withdrawals and an overall world number 1 ranking. In 2014, he only had 8 starts with 3 missed cuts/withdrawals and dropped to world number 24.

It definitely seemed like two different people when you compare those numbers, but 2014 was a season where Tiger was plagued with a back injury, which proved too much to overcome. He last teed it up at the PGA Championship at Valhalla, where he shot a 74-74 to miss the cut. He took himself out of consideration for the Ryder Cup and shut it down until this week, where he will host the Tiger Woods Hero World Challenge in Orlando, Florida. It will be his first competitive round of golf in months and also one where he shows off his new golf swing since working with swing coach Chris Como.
