Last year, Henrik Stenson became the first player to win the PGA Tour’s FedEx Cup and the Race to Dubai of the European Tour. Although Henrik was not able to defend the FedEx Cup or the Race to Dubai title in 2014, he still had a chance to repeat at the European Tour’s season ending event, the DP World Tour Championship, and that’s exactly what he did!
Playing on the Earth Course at the Jumeirah Golf Estates, Henrik Stenson shot a final round 2-under 70 en-route to his victory, coming up clutch as he birdied his final two holes. However, it was not without challenge from his European Ryder Cup teammates Justin Rose, Victor Dubuisson and Rory McIlroy, who all finished two shots behind at 14-under!
With his second consecutive victory at the 2014 DP World Tour Championship, Henrik finished second in the overall Race to Dubai standings and is now the World No.2 player in the world as he looks forward to a three-peat next year in Dubai!
