As we get closer to the new year, golf companies are slowly releasing their products for 2015. This not only includes golf clubs, but also golf apparel and accessories. We’ve seen Nike Golf recently announce their new Lunar Control 3 golf shoe and today, Puma Golf also releases a new golf shoe – the BioDrive Golf Shoe.
The BioDrive Golf Shoe joins the popular movement of a spikeless and more versatile golf shoe. It is designed to work as both a golf shoe and training footwear for the golfer on the go in the gym and on the range. Three specialized zones (front, middle, back) throughout the shoe offer a combination of flexibility, balance and stability which help provide both grip and support.
The upper of the BioDrive looks like an athletic shoe while the outsole has 10 octagons, rather than traditional spikes, that provide 130 points of traction. The points on the perimeter of the octagon were created to provide better traction on smoother, indoor surfaces. The points in the center provide grip needed on a golf course. The shoe comes with a two-year waterproof guarantee.
The BioDrive will be available for $140 and will be in stores December 15, 2014. You can purchase them in four colourways including Strong Blue/Peacoat/Fluro Yellow, Black/Turbulence/Puma Red, Tradewinds, White, Vibrant Orange and Black/White/Turbulence.
