Nick Taylor Wins Sanderson Farms Championship

Although many of the world’s best players were in Shanghai, China for the WGC-HSBC Champions, the PGA Tour was also in action at the Sanderson Farms Championship in Jackson, Mississippi. Despite starting the tournament 4 shots behind the leader, 26 year old rookie Nick Taylor shot a 6-under 66 to win the Sanderson Farms Championship by two strokes and became the first Canadian-born player to win on the PGA Tour since Mike Weir in 2007!

Nick Taylor - Sanderson Farms Championship

This was just Nick Taylor’s 13th PGA Tour start and seventh as a professional. It was only two months ago that Nick earned his PGA Tour card by shooting a final-round 7-under 63 at the Web.com Tour Championship at TPC Sawgrass. With his first PGA Tour victory, Nick not only earned $720,000 from the $4 million purse but he is also exempt through the 2016-17 season! With Nick Taylor being from our home province of British Columbia, we couldn’t be happier for him. Congratulations and we look forward to many more great things from you in the future!
