Golf’s 19th hole is synonymous with a good drink after a round of golf. Triple Bogey Brewing & Golf Co.’s golf-themed blonde lager was received with much success last year. Spotting the trend, three of the world’s top golfers Graeme McDowell, Keegan Bradley and Fredrik Jacobson have teamed up with a Florida-based brewer The Brew Pub to create GolfBeer Brewing!
GolfBeer Brewing will launch a series of easy-drinking craft beers that will meet each golfer’s preference and taste profile. For Graeme, who’s from Northern Ireland, his love and passion for Guinness is a known fact, having shown us how to pour the perfect pint in his own restaurant Nona Blue. It is this background that G-Mac’s craft beer from GolfBeer will be a Celtic Style Pale Ale that is crisp and refreshing with a floral hop aroma and a snappy finish.
In contrast, Fredrik Jacobson’s beer will be a Scandinavian Style Blonde Ale, which is a light ale brewed with Crystal malt and a variety of European hops while Keegan’s drink will be a New England Style Lager that is an easy-drinking lager brewed with two-row barley and a variety of North American hops!
Initially, GolfBeer will be available on draft and in 12-ounce cans at select golf courses, restaurants and country clubs throughout the state of Florida. In the near future, the three brands will be packaged in 12-ounce glass bottles (six-packs) and expand to grocery stores, bars, and restaurants in 2015. With the variety of flavours and the three golfers’ passion for beer shining through, we are sure GolfBeer will be a hit and we are looking forward to trying it ourselves!
