Cabot Cliffs: The Progress

Cabot Links is a links golf course off the coast of Cape Breton in Nova Scotia, Canada. It has earned great reviews, including those from Graeme McDowell and Graham DeLaet and soon, a second course will be added to the property. This second course is Cabot Cliffs and is designed by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw, who were also responsible for the restoration of Pinehurst No.2.

Recently, Golf Channel’s Gary Williams had an opportunity to visit Cabot Cliffs to check up on its progress. Luckily for him, he was accompanied on his tour by the two designers, Coore and Crenshaw. 17 of the holes have been grassed in and Cabot Cliffs aim to have its soft opening in July 2015. With a mile and a half of coastline and seven holes along the ocean, Gary Williams gave Cabot Cliffs very high praise on the Morning Drive with Matt Ginella. He even mentions Cabot Cliffs in the same breath as Pebble Beach, Cypress Points and some of the greats in Scotland and Ireland!

Cabot Cliffs

Gary certainly paints a very nice picture of the new golf course in Nova Scotia and after listening to him, we are sure all golf fans are highly anticipating the opening of Cabot Cliffs and planning their next golf trip!
