Adidas Golf is one of the leading companies in producing athletic apparel for their athletes, particularly in their footwear. Last year, we saw the introduction of the Adidas Golf AdiZero One, Pure 360 and AdiCross Gripmore. They even joined John Brenkus from Sport Science to give a detailed look at how these shoes work (AdiZero One, Pure 360, AdiCross Gripmore).
Earlier this week, as the 2014-2015 PGA TOUR season kicks off, Adidas Golf introduced their latest golf shoe, the TOUR360 X. Building on the success of the TOUR360 golf shoe, the TOUR360 X incorporates several updates. It is lightweight and includes a microfiber leather upper with climaproof technology and a nine-cleat thintech TPU outsole featuring CenTraXion technology that allowed designers to create a shoe that was lighter and more stable than the previous version.
New materials are used to reduce weight, add flexibility and increase comfort. The re-designed TPU outsole includes a unique “X” pattern and low profile stealth cleats offer increased surface area contact and stability during the swing. 360WRAP Technology is also present for maximum performance and comfort. The TOUR360X will be available in six colourways – three will be available November 1, 2014 with the remaining three released February 1, 2015. It will retail for $140 and golfers will have the choice between traditional shoe laces or the BOA Closure System ($180).
