Golf is a sport that athletes from other games often take up. We have seen NBA players like JR Smith on the links as well as NHL hockey players including the likes of PK Subban and others who participated in the “Miracle on Grass!” With such a widely play game, golf serves as an ideal platform for players to participate in a charity event, such as that of the Vancouver Canucks and the Jake Milford Canucks Charity Invitational Golf Tournament!
Jake Milford was the General Manager of the Vancouver Canucks for five seasons and later served as Senior Vice-President for another two years before succumbing to cancer. The tournament is held annually and the 2014 tournament is its 31st edition! With the tournament benefiting the BC Hockey Benevolent Association (BCHBA) and the Canucks for Kids Fund, our hometown Canucks and its alumni were out in full force. Take a look at the video above for some of the highlights!
