Today marked the end of the third leg of the 2014 FedEx Cup Playoffs at the BMW Championship in Denver, Colorado, played at Cherry Hills Golf Club. After hitting his fairway approach shot fat (chunked) last week during the final round of the Deutsche Bank Championship to force a playoff or even win the tournament, Billy Horschel was looking for redemption. He would shoot a Saturday round of 63 to lead the tournament and after losing the three shot lead early on Sunday, would battle back to shoot a 1-under par 69 and two shot victory over Bubba Watson. With this win at 14-under par, Billy has put himself in prime position for the FedEx Cup title and its $10-million bonus at the Tour Championship next week.
Will he be able to repeat what Henrik Stenson achieved last year by winning the Tour Championship and FedEx Cup title together at the same time? After winning the BMW Championship (his second PGA TOUR victory), Billy Horschel heads into the Tour Championship in second place in the FedEx Cup points standings. Watch the highlights from his victory this weekend above!
