The 2014 FedEx Cup continues this week at the BMW Championship, played at Cherry Hills Country Club in Denver, Colorado. Cherry Hills was the site of the 1960 US Open, where the King Arnold Palmer staged the greatest comeback in US Open history! The King was seven strokes off the lead in the final round before carding a 6-under 65 to beat Jack Nicklaus by two shots.
The shot that started it all for the King was his tee shot on the first hole, where he drove the green! Just like at the PGA Championship with the long drive contest, the PGA set up the first tee with the Arnold Palmer Challenge, with players getting an opportunity to imitate the King’s shot with a persimmon driver and a balata golf ball. Rory McIlroy has experience hitting old clubs but would he be able to reach the green? Watch to find out!
