The 2014 Ryder Cup at Gleneagles is less than three weeks away. Yesterday, both Captain Tom Watson and Captain Paul McGinley made their Captain’s Picks to round of their teams of twelve. Tom Watson selected Keegan Bradley, Hunter Mahan and Webb Simpson; Paul McGinley selected Ian Poulter, Stephen Gallacher and Lee Westwood.
With the teams confirmed, we now get a preview of what the uniforms will be like for the US Ryder Cup team. Designed by Ralph Lauren, the ensembles have a very patriotic feel with the red, white and blue colour themes featuring Polo Golf and RLX Golf apparel. Stripes are also a main design motif for the uniforms as well, but what we love the most about these uniforms are the details. In each Ryder Cup polo Ralph Lauren has designed, the words “United We Stand” are embroidered into the golf shirts to remind the team of Captain Tom Watson’s strong team spirt. In all of the performance-ready polos, the tournament’s crest and a band of 12 stars at the shoulder are featured to signify the importance of each team member.
