The first event of the FedEx Cup playoffs is now complete and Hunter Mahan is your winner at The Barclays, held at Ridgewood Country Club in Paramus, New Jersey. Hunter Mahan began the day one shot back of the leader at 8-under and despite the packed leaderboard, Hunter was able to pull away late in the round with three straight birdies!
This victory is Hunter’s sixth PGA victory and it has propelled him to number one in the FedEx Cup standings! Next up is the Deutsche Bank Championship next week at TPC Boston! Don’t forget that the tournament play will start Friday, August 29 because of Labour Day weekend!
