Nine-time Major Champion Mr. Gary Player needs no introduction on the golf course and as an ambassador of the game, Mr. Player has done a tremendous part in giving back. The Player Foundation is part of the platform in giving back and since 1983, it has blossomed into an organization that offers aid to underprivileged children and impoverished communities across the globe.
The Gary Player Invitational series is a set of golfing events hosted by Gary Player himself in cities all over the world as a fundraising campaign for local charities. 2013 was a huge success and shortly after the Open Championship this year at Royal Liverpool, many players flocked to Wentworth Golf Club to support the second stage of the 2014 Gary Player Invitational series.
