Henrik Stenson had an amazing 2013 campaign last year, with five Top-5 finishes as well as two wins during the FedEx Cup Playoffs. Those two wins allowed him to capture the FedEx Cup as well as a $10 million bonus. His strong play continued onto the European Tour where he would also win the Race To Dubai – the first player in history to win both the FedEx Cup and Race To Dubai in the same year, pocketing $20 million!
Although he had a slower start to the 2014 season, he gave Rory McIlroy a run during the 2014 PGA Championship, giving an early charge, but unable to sustain the momentum. He would finish T3 for the season’s final major. Golf hasn’t always been this easy for Henrik Stenson though – at one point, he dropped to World Number 621 from 73 at the beginning of his career. Ten years later, he would be ranked 4th in the world after his win at The Players Championship before dropping to 230th in the world and fighting back to where he is now.
