Rory McIlroy has played the game of golf at an amazing level the last couple of weeks. Not only did Rory win the Open Championship at Royal Liverpool, he also added the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational and the PGA Championship at Valhalla to his already impressive resume. Of course, these victories are the result of hard work and practice and at Rory’s old mansion, we get a sneak peak at the ‘world-class’ championship golf practice facility that Rory used to sharpen his skills!
The Robinhall House & Grounds is only 20 minutes away from the centre of Belfast and is set on 14 acres in the heart of County Down. Its features and amenities are endless but perhaps its most unique feature is the “world-class championship golf practice facility, designed, built and still occasionally used by professional golfer Rory McIlroy!”
Included in this practice facility is a nine-hole golf course with holes based on some of the world’s top golf courses such as Augusta, St Andrews Links, Pebble Beach and Congressional! The fourth green even has a Sub Air system that is a replica of the system at Augusta National, allowing moisture to be sucked out of the green or air to be blown into the green to firm up the putting surface.
The Robinhall House & Grounds is certainly one of a kind and the best part, it’s available for rent if you can afford a price of £12,500 per week. If that’s too steep, the golfing experience at Rory’s personal practice facility is £95 per adult and £45 per child (under 14). A percentage of all proceeds will go towards The Rory Foundation.
