Ahead of the Scottish Open and Open Championship earlier in July, Nike Golf teamed up with Archerfield Links to officially announce the opening of the new Nike Performance Fitting Center at Archerfield in Edinburgh, Scotland, with Rory McIlroy, who talks about the Nike Golf clubs in his bag!
The facility is a world first for Nike Golf, allowing consumers from around the world to experience the very best in golf club fitting as well as access to Archerfield’s elite coaching panel, including former Ryder Cup player Andrew Coltart and leading European Tour coach Gary Nicol, both members of Nike Golf’s Staff. The facility provides the consumer with a full range of product, technology and fitting experiences, mirroring the service Nike Golf offers its Tour athletes.
There are a range of packages tailored to every golfer’s needs, including the ultimate three-day stay at the luxury club that will see a consumer embark on a full club and ball fitting, game-assessment, physical fitness consultation and a playing lesson on either the Fidra or Dirleton Links. On day one of their stay, consumers will take part in a personal club fitting using the latest technology. On day two, their personalized, custom-built clubs will be delivered to the club in time for their playing lesson. Golfers will then have a distance mapping session, and will be shown how to use the Nike Golf NG360 app, which allows players to track their progress on the course, as well as offer tips on game-improvement.
In addition to the two stunning courses designed by DJ Russell, the Archerfield Links Estate boasts a 17th century Mansion House with a spa (recently voted in the top-six new spas in Europe), a gym and a range of luxurious accommodations just outside Edinburgh.
