Fresh off his victory at the Open Championship at Royal Liverpool, Rory McIlroy continues his strong play with another victory at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational! In somewhat of a rematch at the Open, Rory and Sergio Garcia were dueling it out in the end. But with a final round of 4-under 66, Rory McIlory wiped out a three-shot deficit in three holes and went on to win his first WGC event and return to the number 1 ranking in the OWGR!
Next week’s PGA Championship at Valhalla will provide Rory McIlroy with another opportunity to add to his already impressive resume. Considering the state of Tiger Woods right now, dare we say the golfing world may have moved on from the Tiger-era to the Rory-era?
