Last month, we saw Anna Rawson teaching us how to hit a checked wedge shot. In this video, she shows us how to back things up on the green by adding some backspin to a golf ball on an uphill lie on the fairway! It’s a great way to get the ball close to the hole for more birdie opportunities!
Step 1 is club selection (shorter club, swing harder); Step 2 is to pick the ball clean; Step 3 is to maintain your balance; Step 4 is to take a divot in front of the ball to compress the ball. And as Rawson says, this is one of the “sexiest shots” in golf! We couldn’t agree more because we love seeing the ball check and have some backspin on the greens!
