The WGC-Bridgestone Invitation takes place this week at Firestone Country Club as 76 Players representing 22 countries embark on Akron, Ohio. Of course, when the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational is discussed, Tiger Woods’ name comes up as he has won the tournament 8 times by a combined margin of 32 strokes!
His most recent victory at Firestone CC came last year when Tiger tied the course record with a 61 in his second round and went on to win. 27 of the top 30 players in the FedEx Cup standings will be in this week’s tournament as they try to gain valuable points. This will also be the players’ final tune-up before the PGA Championship at Valhalla!
