Preview: 2014 RBC Canadian Open

The RBC Canadian Open is the third oldest tournament in professional golf, behind The Open Championship and the US Open, and it returns to Royal Montreal Golf Club this year, where the inaugural tournament was played back in 1904. The venue plays host for the ninth time and this year, Brandt Snedeker will be the defending champion after winning the tournament last year at Glenn Abbey Golf Club!

There will be sixteen Canadians in the field this week, including Graham DeLaet who is currently ranked 38th in the Official World Golf Rankings. The field in the RBC Canadian Open is strong and features many of the game’s top players. However, the last time a Canadian born player won the tournament was in 1954. Perhaps this year will be the year that this streak ends!
