We’ve already seen the introduction of the i25 and G25 drivers in the beginning of 2014 with the PING racing stripes. It was the first time PING had expanded their designs away from tradition. The new PING Golf G30 driver follows suit with a “turbulator” design, which looks to be a crown technology. A series of ridges on the crown of the G30 is what “turbulator” should refer to and should aim to improve air flow, or aerodynamics, of the driver head. Aside from that, the G30 looks very similar to the G25, sporting a deep profile with a charcoal, non-glare matte finish and adjustable hosel.
No details about the club were given by PING, but many players already began to test the G30 at The Greenbrier Classic including Bubba Watson (you can see his custom Pink G30 above!), Mark Wilson, Derek Ernst, Jason Gore and David Lingmerth. Make sure to check back soon for more details on the new G30 driver by PING!
