Congressional Country Club certainly got its reputation back as a tough test of golf today after the final round of the Quicken Loans National. Only six players broke par in the final round and for the second time this year, the winning score was higher than the 36-hole lead. Of course, with such a challenging golf course, it would take a former US Open Champion, Justin Rose to prevail in the end!
The leaderboard was actually quite packed to begin the final day of the Quicken Loans National. Many players faltered, including the the 54-hole leader, Patrick Reed. In the end, it was Justin Rose and Shawn Stefani who were left standing as they were tied at 4-under and went on to a playoff to decide the champion! All it took was one extra hole as a mistake by Stefani was all it took for Justin Rose to seal the victory!
