The grind that was the US Open at Pinehurst No.2 is over now and the PGA Tour is in Cromwell, Connecticut this week for the Travelers Championship! There’s been a handful of first time winners on Tour this season, with 9 players breaking through in 30 events so far.
Throughout the years, there’s been 17 first time winners at the Travelers Championship, with 6 of those first timers coming in the last seven years! This includes Hunter Mahan in 2007 and Bubba Watson in 2010. Perhaps, we will see the trend continue this week at TPC River Highlands but with six of the top 10 finishers at the US Open in the field, the winner will have to beat out a strong field to be in the winner’s circle!
