The US Open at Pinehurst No.2 has provided a great test of golf and the scores this past week has reflected that. The field was grouped tightly together aside from the 2014 US Open Champion, Martin Kaymer, who finished the Championship at 9-under par. The difficulty of the sport is one of its most intriguing aspect however, it could also be its own worse enemy as it proves too challenging for many individuals new to the game! That’s where Hack Golf, an initiative launched by TaylorMade CEO Mark King and the PGA of America comes into play.
Hack Golf’s aim is to grow the game of golf, with its main attraction being the size of the hole at 15 inches! This sure makes the game a lot easier around the greens. As part of a promotion for Hack Golf, Taylormade ambassadors Justin Rose and Sergio Garcia played a round with the 15 inch holes and Inside the PGA was there to capture it all! Not everyone is a fan though as purists find this brings the game of golf down. Just ask Donald Trump! What are your thoughts?
