We’ve featured the Callaway Mack Daddy 2 wedges designed by Roger Cleveland earlier in the year and this past week, they announced the release of the “Tour Grind” series of the Mack Daddy 2. The MD2 Tour Grind wedges have tour-validated C-grind sole designs as well as straighter leading edges and higher peaked toes than the original designs.
This Tour Grind, or T-Grind, are forged from 1020 carbon steel for a traditional look and feel and have the company’s 5V grooves in the 58- and 60-degree models for maximum spin. The 52-, 54-, 56-degree models have Callaway’s 20V grooves with slightly less spin. The Tour Grind wedges come stock with True Temper’s Dynamic Gold S300 shafts and use a Golf Pride “Whiteout” grip with an “acid yellow” accent color that matches the paint fill of the wedges.
