Every year, Jack Nicklaus builds one of the strongest fields for his tournament, the Memorial at Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin, Ohio. This year, we have Adam Scott (2014 Crowne Plaza Invitational) and Rory McIlroy (BMW PGA Championship) both coming off wins last week and entering this week playing some great golf. But aside from those two, the field of 120 consists of 22 of the top 30 in the FedEx Cup standings as well as 8 previous champions of the tournament.
Muirfield Village recently hosted the 2013 President’s Cup and was the second toughest course on the PGA Tour last year outside of the four majors. It is Jason Day’s home course though and he will be in the field after returning to competition after a thumb injury. Defending champion Matt Kuchar will look to add his name to a list of six multiple winners – take a look at a preview of the tournament and hear from some of the pros!
