A few days ago, 11 year old Lucy Li made headlines when she became the youngest ever to qualify for the US Women’s Open Championship! She accomplished this by winning her sectional qualifier at Half Moon Bay by seven strokes! And for the first time ever, the USGA also held sectional qualifying for the US Women’s Open outside the United States.
These events took place in England, Republic of Korea, Japan and the People’s Republic of China. Take a look at the video above as the USGA was on site for the sectional qualifying in China at the Nanshan International Training Center. It was an exciting finish with golfers competing for only two spots to the US Women’s Open at Pinehurst No.2!
