Last year, 22 year old Derek Ernst won the 2013 Wells Fargo Championship at Quail Hollow Club and became the first alternate to win a tournament on the PGA Tour since 2005! Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, North Carolina is annually one of the tougher courses on the PGA Tour and attracts a strong field. This will include last week’s winner at the Zurich Classic, Seung-Yul Noh, who became the sixth first time winner on tour in the 2013-14 season!
Young stars such as Rory McIlroy and Rickie Fowler have won at this venue in previous years. Will we see another young star breakthrough in 2014 or will we see an old veteran come out on top on this classic golf course? Either way, Quail Hollow will certainly be a tough test for the players this week!
