This is the final episode of Srixon Golf’s Journey To Better campaign and it features JB Holmes. Holmes is a two time PGA Tour winner (the FBR Open, now known as the Waste Management Phoenix Open) and even represented the winning USA Team at the 2008 Ryder Cup.
Holmes is known for hitting the ball long distances, like fellow 2006 rookie Bubba Watson. However, after dealing with vertigo symptoms for several months and withrawing from the 2011 PGA Championship, he saw a physician and was diagnosed with structural defects in the cerebellum known as Chiari malformations. He underwent brain surgery on September 1, 2011 and another about a month later after an allergy to an adhesive used during the surgery. Holmes returned to the PGA Tour in late January 2012 and is continuing his Journey To Better – watch the inspiring video above.
Be sure to catch the other Journey To Better videos featuring Graeme McDowell, Keegan Bradley and Gonzalo Fernandez Castano.
