Nike Golf Japan releases this video featuring Carl Madore, Design Director of Golf Footwear, and Rory McIlroy as they explain the Nike Golf Lunar Control 2 golf shoe. Being a golf footwear designer, Madore can leverage all the different technology that Nike possesses and optimize them for golf. For the Lunar Control 2, they’ve taken Lunar Foam, a light weight and resilient material and created a stable, yet flexible, sole optimized for the golf swing. We first saw the introduction of the Lunar Control 2 golf shoe at the Nike Innovation Summit. Since then, they’ve released their Play In The Now campaign for the shoe as well as a limited edition Masters inspired design.
