The Masters and Augusta National have always tried to grow the sport of golf throughout their 77 year history. They create and design an experience not just for the players, but also for the fans and patrons of the tournament to enjoy. In addition to the experience, they’re also hosting the Latin America Amateur Championship next year with the USGA and R&A, with the winner being sent an invitational to compete in the 2015 Masters tournament. Furthermore, they’ve also created the Drive, Chip and Putt Championship to grow the sport for children.
In this interview on CNN Living Golf, Billy Payne, chairman of Augusta National Golf Club, joins Shane O’Donoghue to discuss the brand of Augusta National as well as Mr. Payne’s favourite moments from The Masters.
