The last tournament before the 2014 Masters is held at Houston this week as the PGA Tour stays in the state of Texas and embark to the Golf Club of Houston for the Shell Houston Open! Many players are in the field this week, using the tournament as a final tune up to iron out any rust ahead of the year’s first Major Championship. Among them is Rory McIlroy, who returns to action after taking three weeks off.
Although much of the focus is on the Masters next week, the Shell Houston Open is not a pushover of a tournament and has had many memorable clutch moments in its 68 year history! This includes last year when DA Points made a clutch up and down on the 18th hole to win by one stroke and seal his victory!
