Custom golf club fitting have always been thought of as a process that’s strictly for the elite players. However, custom fitting is starting to make its way to mainstream golf for the average player and facilities such as Modern Golf are now available for our fitting needs! Seeing this trend, many golf manufacturers are bringing their own expertise to their customers, including Mizuno and their Swing DNA system!
To put the Swing DNA system to the test, Mizuno Europe invited six cynical regular golfers to Bearwood Lakes GC in Berkshire for a 15 minute iron custom fitting session! Using the Mizuno Shaft optimzer, Mizuno technicians are able to determine the three best shaft options from more than 50 possibilities. Head speed, tempo, toe down, kick angle and release factor of your “Swing DNA” are all taken into consideration by the Mizuno Shaft optimzer. With the right shaft, an average golfer can add 10-30 yards to every iron in the bag as well as improving shot dispersion.
