The Taylormade SLDR driver is one of the hottest clubs in the golf market right now. With it’s low and forward centre of gravity (CG), golfers are finding they have to loft up in order to maximize their distances. Taylormade is hoping to optimize the driver at 17 degree of launch with 1700 RPM of spin and has held several Loft Up events in Torrey Pines during the Farmers Insurance Open and in Las Vegas. You can even hear from Stephen Gallacher and Hank Haney about Lofting Up!
It isn’t just a North American event though – recently, Taylormade Singapore held a Loft Up event at the Marina Bay Golf Course! It’s one of the few public courses in Singapore and we have had the opportunity to play it and take in the awesome views of the city! During the event, with the help of FlightScope launch monitors, golfers were able to see first hand their distance gains with a lofted up SLDR versus their current drivers. Take a look at the video above and go behind the scenes of the event! Make sure to find out about the science of loft up and find out all about the SLDR and technology!
