John Senden Wins Valspar Championship

On a day filled with strong gusts on the Copperhead course of Innisbrook, 42 year old Australian John Senden won for the first time in 8 years as he pulled out a victory at Valspar Championship! Robert Garrigus, Scott Langley and Kevin Na were all in the mix but it was not enough in the end. In the three-hole closing stretch called “the Snake Pit,” John Senden shot a score of 2-under as he chipped in from 68 feet for birdie on the 16th and also nailed a 20 foot putt on the 17th!

Kevin Na, who cannot be criticized for his infamous slow play this week, had a birdie putt to force a playoff on the 18th green but it was not meant to be. John Senden earned his victory at Copperhead and with it, a trip to the Masters at Augusta as well!
