Our hometown Vancouver local, Adam Hadwin, won his first ever Web Dot Com Tour event today at the Chile Classic at Prince of Wales Country Club in Santiago. After 54 holes, Hadwin led by one shot heading into the final round on Sunday. He shot a 3-under 69, with birdies on his final two holes, for a one-stroke victory over Australia’s Alistair Presnell. We were lucky to watch Hadwin play in person a couple years ago at the RBC Canadian Open at Shaughnessy Golf and Country Club in Vancouver. Since then, he’s slowly worked his way onto the bigger tours, first playing locally to gain experience on the Vancouver Golf Tour, then the PGA Tour Canada and now playing on the Web Dot Com Tour! He was even in the field at last year’s US Open at Merion Golf Club, however, he did not make the cut. He finished T39 at the US Open in 2011 at Congressional Country Club though!
