The golf shoe is one of the most important pieces of equipment for a golfer – it provides the balance and stability needed to transfer energy from the ground and into your golf swing. With their heritage in footwear, Adidas Golf offers some innovative products. Earlier in the year, they introduced the lightest golf shoe on the market, the AdiZero One – you can find out more about it in the latest episode of Adidas Golf Innovations. Today, they’ve announced another offering in their line of footwear, the Adidas Pure 360, the next generation of AdiPure footwear.
The Pure 360 is a premium golf shoe aimed at the golfer who is looking for a classic, more traditional look with the benefits of modern footwear technology. It is designed for extreme comfort – the Pure 360 utilizes an ultra-flexible outsole (puremotion technology) and, perhaps the most innovative development in this shoe, Adidas Golf poured polyurethane (PU) directly into the outsole. It is a very soft and cushy material that adds an unprecedented level of comfort for golfers.
The Pure 360 is also equipped with the new ThinTech Outsole featuring Swing Plane Traction technology, the new midfoot cleat also found in the AdiZero One, which creates incredible grip and stability. Combine that with an external heel cage and TPU stripe to provide a locked-in 360 Wrap support in the midfoot to heel and you have one of the most stable golf shoes on the market. The Pure 360 is also designed with the new tour performance last and specifically designed to be wider in the forefoot for improved fit, feel and overall comfort. The rest of the Pure 360 is made with the thinnest and softest premium stitched leather available with Climaproof waterproof protection.
Dustin Johnson is one of the Adidas Golf Tour professionals that is wearing the Pure 360. He debuted these shoes at the 2014 Hyundai Tournament of Champions in January and praised the appearance and performance of the shoe: “Once I started wearing the pure 360, I immediately felt the incredible comfort and feel more refreshed at the end of my round. Not only do they look great, they’re the most comfortable shoe I’ve ever worn.” The Pure 360 will be available in four colourways at an MSRP of $250 USD.
