The next generation of golfers is upon us – the list of “20 somethings” winning on the PGA Tour is endless and each player is expecting to win right when they get on Tour. Since 2000, almost a third of PGA Tour victories were by players under the age of 30. In 2013, 12 of 31 PGA Tour wins were by players in their 20’s and the trend continues for the 2014 season with 6 of the first 10 victories so far. These were the players that saw the dominance of Tiger Woods and have the same expectations of themselves to win, and win early in their careers. Woods has definitely changed the entire sport of golf as golfers not only focus on their game, but also their fitness to be in the best physical shape to compete week in and week out.
This list of young and talented golfers include Rory McIlroy, Dustin Johnson, Rickie Fowler, Matteo Manassero, Russel Henley, Jordan Spieth, Gary Woodland, Keegan Bradley, Scott Stallings and more. The list continues to grow every year – are there any young and talented golfers you’d like to see break out soon? We hope to see Seung Yul Noh and Ryo Ishikawa breakthrough for a win on the PGA Tour soon!
