It is no secret Henrik Stenson had an amazing season in 2013, becoming the first player to win the PGA Tour’s FedEx Cup and the Race to Dubai of the European Tour, pocketing a cool $20 million in the process. Much has been documented over Henrik’s success but he has also shown a lot of resiliency, coming back from two major slumps in 2001 and 2012. In addition to on course struggles, Henrik also had to deal with off the course issues, such as being defrauded from a financial advisor.
In a recent interview, CNN Living Golf sits down with Henrik to discuss his struggles and his ability to rise above it all to win two of the richest events in professional golf in 2013! Aside from hearing from Henrik’s coach, Pete Cowen, we also find out that Henrik started seeing a sports psychologist in 2012 and it was a gradual build up of a year and a half in his game before an unforgettable 2013 season! From what we can take away from the interview, Henrik Stenson’s positive outlook and attitude was a huge part in contributing to his success!
